Denver, CO (March 9, 2018) – After an extensive search, Emerge Colorado, the state’s largest training program for Democratic women seeking public office, is pleased to announce that Michal L. Rosenoer will be the organization’s new Executive Director. A respected veteran strategist and organizer, Michal is an alum of the 2017 Emerge training program and has extensive experience running campaigns across Colorado.

"Women will make history in this year’s midterm elections,” said Norma Ruth Ryan, Interim Chair, Emerge Colorado Board of Directors. “There are more women running for office in 2018 than ever before. Michal has the leadership skills, proven record of success, and the vision and passion needed to propel Emerge Colorado and our network forward. This year we will make positive, lasting change in our communities and we’re thrilled to have Michal lead that charge for Emerge Colorado.”

Rosenoer has spent her career working on conservation and energy issues and is currently the Front Range Field Manager for Conservation Colorado. She plays a key role in the organization's strategic campaign planning and direction, including managing staff and recruiting and training volunteers. In 2016, she designed Conservation Colorado’s coordinated statewide election field program and ran their first municipal program in 2017.

“I’m honored to have the opportunity to combine my skills with my heart’s work,” said Rosenoer. “Empowering women to create positive change and fostering a political movement rooted in compassion and community is how we move towards a better future for all of us. I know the diversity, strength, and values of Emerge women will lead us there.”

Emerge Colorado is a chapter of Emerge America, which was founded in 2005, and has 22 chapters across the country, all working to change the face of politics in our nation by recruiting and training Democratic women to run for elected office. In June, Emerge Colorado will graduate its sixth class of women from the organization’s intensive training program. Over 30 alumnae are running for office in 2018.
